Physiotherapy in London

Dealing with a sports injury, persistent pain, recurring aches, or looking to get back to full fitness after surgery? Our specialist physiotherapists diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate musculoskeletal and chronic conditions — helping you return to sport, work, training, or daily activity as quickly and safely as possible.

At Q Sports Physio, we treat athletes, active individuals, office workers, and people dealing with ongoing pain or mobility issues across three London clinics. Every treatment plan is built around your condition, lifestyle, goals, and the way your body needs to move.

When do you need Physiotherapy?

A NEW INJURY

You've rolled an ankle during a run, pulled a muscle in a match, or felt something go during training. Early assessment and treatment leads to faster recovery and reduces the risk of the injury becoming a longer-term problem.

AN ONGOING INJURY

Pain that has persisted for weeks or months — despite rest — often needs more than time. A physiotherapist can identify why recovery has stalled and create a plan to get you moving forward again.

FOR ANYONE WHO PLAYS SPORTS

Knee pain when you run, shoulder pain when you serve, lower back stiffness after cycling — these issues rarely resolve on their own and tend to get worse if you train through them.

PRE-SURGERY REHABILITATION

If you're scheduled for orthopaedic surgery — such as an ACL reconstruction or shoulder repair — a strengthening programme before surgery can significantly improve your post-operative recovery.

POST-SURGERY PHYSICAL REHABILITATION

After surgery, structured physiotherapy is essential to restore strength, mobility, and confidence. We work with you from the early stages of healing through to your full return to sport.

TO IMPROVE MOBILITY AND INJURY PREVENTION

Not currently injured? Physiotherapy isn't just about fixing problems. A biomechanical assessment or movement screening can identify weaknesses and imbalances before they become injuries.

Common Sports Injuries We Treat

Our physiotherapists treat a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. These are the areas we see most frequently:

Lower limb: Ankle sprains, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, calf strains, shin splints, knee ligament injuries (ACL, MCL), meniscus tears, patellofemoral pain, patellar tendinopathy, hamstring injuries, hip pain, and groin pain.

Upper limb: Shoulder impingement, rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, wrist and hand injuries.

Spine Lower: back pain, disc injuries, sciatica, neck pain, and thoracic stiffness.

Post-surgical: ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilisation, and other orthopaedic procedures.

For specific conditions, we may integrate additional treatments such as shockwave therapy, sports massage, dry needling, or acupuncture as part of your rehabilitation plan.

What to Expect From Sports Physiotherapy?

Thorough Assessment

We start with a detailed assessment of your injury, symptoms, movement, training history, and goals to identify the real cause of the problem — not just the symptoms.

Accurate Diagnosis

Through movement testing, strength assessment, and hands-on examination, we diagnose the issue and explain what’s happening, why it developed, and what recovery looks like.

Hands-On Treatment

Treatment may include joint mobilization, soft tissue therapy, muscle energy techniques, and pain management strategies to reduce discomfort and restore movement.

Exercise Rehabilitation

Your recovery plan includes progressive exercises designed to improve strength, mobility, stability, and long-term resilience — both in clinic and at home.

Return to Sport & Activity

We gradually rebuild load, intensity, and sport-specific movement patterns to help you return safely and confidently to training, work, or daily activity.

Evidence-Based Approach

Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual and based on current research, clinical guidelines, and what is most effective for your condition and goals.
